I'm a first time mom (Laura Gaddy) who left a journalism job to go to design school. My husband is a builder's son who does government work. We spent a year-and-a-half living in a tiny,  rustic "cabin-house" in the woods with our 18-month-old son. Now, we're making our first home blogger beautiful using hand-me-downs, hand-made wares and un-fancy, big-box store purchases.

This blog is about that adventure, but it’s also about the tiny town its built in and why living big doesn’t have to cost a lot.
